Demand for higher productivity finning is the reason IBC produces oscillated wound coils of aluminum and copper. Oscillated winding packs substantially more continuous strip into a coil size that is more efficient for high speed process feeding than conventional slit pancake coils.

To take advantage of larger coil efficiencies, a powered payoff is required. IBC has developed a high performance payoff just for this purpose. Our computer controlled fin strip payoff is a free standing unit that feeds oscillated coils of strip weighing up to 1,000 pounds at speeds up to 600 feet per minute. The payoff measures the speed and rate of change of the fin machine and automatically adjusts acceleration or braking to match. The result is an accurately synchronized, smooth, constant strip feed into the finning machine with uniform tension.
